Meet Evelyn Horne

Dental Consultant

Dental Consultant

A career coach once told me, if you think about what you really liked to do as a child and follow that path, it will lead to a career of enjoyment and fulfillment. As a child (as my Mom said), I liked to “boss people around.” I called it problem-solving. Now I did not get this tidbit of advice until I was well into my coaching career, but it did make me stop and think. I am lucky. Unbeknownst to me, I followed my childhood path and for me, it has led to enjoyment. I love what I do. Why? Because I build relationships and work side by side with my clients and their teams to enhance their lives. How great is that!!

Meet Heidi Fingar, Coach

Dental Business CoachIf variety is the spice of life then we all have different core personalities for a reason. Identifying and understanding how these personalities work together allows for joy and success in the workplace. This is my joy – helping teams work together, celebrating differences, and moving toward common goals while enjoying the ride. Team building, listening skills, goal shaping and productive interviewing are some of the strengths I bring to dental offices.

When I first started to see the power of personalities, I was newly married and struggling to understand why “the opposite with whom I was attracted to” was such a mystery. Studying personality tests, realizing our strengths and weaknesses as a couple, and then surrounding ourselves with people that make up for our weaknesses, brought us to respect and properly use these personality tests we have come to love.
– Heidi Fingar

Heidi Fingar has her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and her Master’s degree in Public Health with an emphasis on Behavior Change. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, and author of her book, “God is in Your Full-Length Mirror.” She manages her husband’s busy dental office which grosses 1.3 million dollars each year with only one dental practitioner. Her hobbies include music, hiking and mentoring.

Meet Cheryl Davis, Insurance Specialist

Dental CoachI’ve always enjoyed a challenge. Instead of looking for a way out, I look for a way through. In every endeavor in my life, upon arriving at a plateau, I naturally reach for the next level of competence. The ever-evolving role of insurance in the dental profession has afforded me such challenge. I enjoy helping patients and dentists maximize their benefits from their insurance plans and contracts.
– Cheryl

Cheryl served in the Air Force at an early age. After completing her certificate in Dental Assistant Technical School, she began her career in dentistry as a Dental Assistant for eight years. While stationed in Germany with the Air Force, her ability to identify problems and implement effective process improvements lead her to being selected to manage the Orthodontic Flight Operations, along with managing 21 general dentists’ weekly production.

While serving in the Air Force Reserve, Cheryl has championed the insurance department of We Care Family Dentistry in South Carolina, working with over seven dental companies and their unlimited, changing plans and limitations. She has negotiated fee increases for in-network rates, tackled and organized the intricacies of secondary insurance and trained dental team members on the ins and outs of insurance eligibility, coverage books, and insurance reimbursement processing. With her attention to detail and “can do” attitude, she can teach most anyone how to “fill in the blanks” and work the organized systems she has created.
